The composer
Violinist, composer, and music producer Gower Sun enjoys a diverse career spanning classical music, hybrid-orchestral film scores, and music production.
His composition and production fuse traditional symphonic elements with ethnic instruments and electronic sound design, and he has lent his musical voice to clients such as Sony Music Entertainment Japan, HoYoverse / miHoYo, and Yostar across soundtracks, film scores, and independent productions.
The player
Gower has performed with ensembles including the Vancouver Symphony, Waco Symphony, Vancouver Film Orchestra, and Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra, and was concertmaster of the Langley Symphony Orchestra.
He holds a Master of Music in Violin Performance under full scholarship from Baylor University, has taught violin at every level, and sits on the editorial committee of the worldwide violin method A Million Joyful Musicians.
He plays on an Italian violin attributed to the Testore family, c. 1750.
